The best is to let them discover it themselves!<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, a group of young singers and film makers are developing an innovative concept for up to ten modern video clips until the end of the summer semester (end of June 2015).<\/p>\n<p>The Idea: Pieces of music from classical literature will be newly played and filmed. \u201cThe basic idea of the concept is to bring together the two worlds of film and music. Exciting, surprising, touching and funny film miniatures should come out of classical pieces\u201d ORF Culture Chief Martin Traxl<\/p>\n<p>The young artists are receiving support from mentors like the Oscar nominated Michael Haneke, soprano Ildik\u00f3 Raimondi and heads of the institute Claudia Walkensteiner-Preschl (Film and TV) and Peter Edelmann (Vocal and Music Theatre).<\/p>\n<p>On the basis of Lied concepts, the film academy students will create directing concepts, of which the 10 best will be realized. In a similar way, vocal students will also apply and the ten best singers will lend their voices to the films, as well as having the chance to act in them.<\/p>\n<p>After the ten best singers have been chosen though a casting, it will be followed by coaching through the mentors and the recordings of the Lieder chosen by the film students.
